Regent Park SDP GRANTS 2024

On December 18, 2024, the City of Toronto Community Funding Unit announced the recipients of the 2024 Regent Park Social Development Plan (SDP) Grant. The Regent Park Social Development Plan, also known as the SDP, is a community wide network that engages in projects that create a sense of belonging, inclusion and cohesion to bring Regent Park together as one community and improve the social environment in Regent Park. The 2024 City of Toronto's SDP Grant supports organizations, grassroots groups, Toronto Community Housing tenants, and community members who are advancing one or more of the plan's key focus areas: Community Safety Communication Employment & Economic Development Community Building

City Commissioned Consultants Present Report on the SDP

The Regent Park Social Development Plan, commonly referred to as the SDP,is a key framework guiding the neighborhood's well-being through a focus on social inclusion and cohesion. The current SDP structure revolves around four working groups related to community identified needs around employment, safety, community building and communication. The working groups generally meet monthly to plan and implement action plans and activities. The working groups are supported by a planning committee that meets weekly and various other sub-committees. The planning committee and work groups all report to a stakeholders table that meets quarterly.
